I got to meet them at wedding this spring, so I was extra excited for their engagement session. We kicked off the shoot with a cozy cocktail at the beautiful Arlington’s bar, letting them cuddle up for some intimate shots. Then we chased that golden sunset for fun, carefree portraits. I loved getting to know them and can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Over the last 15 years of documenting my couples on the best day of their lives, I’ve met so many amazing people who quickly turned into friends. I hope that can be our story, too.
On the rare occasion that I’m not capturing a special moment, you can catch me spending my time with an incredible man who makes me laugh until I cry. I also tend to believe that a house is not a home until paw prints paint the floors. And admittedly, I cry at most movies, especially the romantic ones. Editing days consist of Dr. Pepper and take-out, while days off require country drives and visiting local wineries to listen to live music and take in a golden sunset. Hands down, it’s one of the best parts about Central Illinois.
